One LivingSpace is found in a letter the apostle Peter wrote to some struggling churches in what is now modern-day Turkey. In that letter, Peter provides a picture of living stones being built up into a spiritual house with a cornerstone of Jesus Christ. We learn: God is building a spiritual house on His son Jesus.
Hebrews 2:14-18. In our Christmas series entitled Kingdom Come we’re trying to answer the question: Why did Jesus come? To answer that question, we must explore why most people have a fear of death. In today’s passage, the writer of Hebrews says that Jesus delivers His followers from the fear of death because when Jesus came, He conquered death and the devil.
Mark 10:35-45. In this Christmas series entitled Kingdom Come we’re trying to answer the question: Why did Jesus come? In today’s passage, Jesus declares that he came as a very special servant - one who would ransom many through His service. The radical life-changing truth of Christmas is: the Kingdom comes when Jesus serves you and you surrender.
Luke 19:1-10. Why did Jesus come? A simple question with profound implications. In today’s passage we will see that Jesus came to seek and save the lost. In His Kingdom, He wants every person to come to know Him. He cares so deeply for each of us that He was willing to leave everything, to come to Earth so that the lost could be found.
Isaiah 9:1-7. As we enter into the Christmas season we’re launching a new series called, Kingdom Come. In today’s passage, Isaiah declared to God’s people the greatest news they could ever receive (at just the right time). Isaiah announced there would be a new King with a Kingdom like no other. We celebrate that Jesus is the new King and His Kingdom has come.
